Wish List (we appreciate used or sustainably made items if available) updated 11/19/11
- spending money (Silas's number crunching skills are now being applied to well-paced consumption of picture books, animal figurines, and other items of his choosing)
- live performance (symphony, bluegrass, acrobats, magic...)
- clothes sizes: 6 or 7, shoe sizes: 13 or 1. He likes to wear elastic waist pants, novelty socks, cotton pjs, tank tops when it's warm, hooded shirts and zip ups when it's cold
- current interests: the solar system, anatomy, Star Wars (only the first one), trees, dragons, knights, dinosaurs (especially obscure carnivores), sea life (sharks, whales, reefs), predators (big cats, hawks, owls)
- "a dinosaur encyclopedia, fat and 4 pounds" (I put this here only because it is such a funny Silas quote, but he already has one that only weighs 3 pounds. But he is also asking for a Rocks and Minerals book, Auntie Nicole took action on the space book request.
- "A triceratops"
- "Another toy submarine"
- "all kinds of predators" "herbivores for the predators to eat" -Silas (he is very into dinosaurs lately)
- He loves his Click magazine and Big Backyard, we read them over and over again. He might also like Zootles animal magazines Or other magazines, he loves to get mail!

- Charlotte's Web (chapter books are the next big thing for this guy)

- Winnie the Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner
- When We Were Very Young - poems by A. A. Milne
- A Light in the Attic, Where the Sidewalk Ends and Falling Up by Shel Silverstein
- Big City Port by Betsy Maestro and Ellen DelVecchio (a library book that we should buy... but it's out of print)
- Animal Orchestra by Ilo Orleans this one is now in the pile of "baby books" as Silas calls them
- Becoming the Parent You Want to Be by Davis and Keyser
- The Best Read it Yourself Book Ever, A Day at the Airport, What do people do all day?, Cars and trucks and things that go! (all by Richard Scarry)
