Hallowe'en

Christine the mermaid (with legs) and Silas the Great White Shark (my mom made the costume!)

Halloween on Saturday means two days of fun. Friday was the Halloween Parade at Si's school, followed by a picnic lunch and pumpkin decorating:

Si was a bit of a grump during the parade, though, so it was hard to get good pictures of that action.

This morning, we went with out neighbors Shelby and Paloma to a Halloween concert at La Peña Cultural Center. I got to waltz with Si for one song, and he played the Limberjacks for another:

Here, Silas and Paloma are more interested in watching the musicians than in their job of presenting the visuals for the song.

Finally, the big night! This evening, we headed over to the Newman/Anand's for Kelilah's second birthday party, followed by trick-or-treating. Cupcakes were a good way to start the evening:

Trick-or-treating itself was great fun. Si was extremely cute and said "Trick or treat," "Thank you," and "Happy Halloween!" at each house. After a few blocks, his bag was full and he decided he was ready to go home.
