Silas is getting more and more social, he's always been interested in other kids but he's finally willing to get off my lap and actually have conversations with them now. Oh and how interesting those conversations can be!
In January we had a spectacular weekend of sunshine and visitors. Neighbors Ali, Gwen and Eddy (aka Jolly) came over to play in the backyard. Here Ali is doing the pulling and our 3 blondies are doing the riding.
And that very same day Asahel and Sara came for a visit from Houston too! It was great to have them stay with us for the weekend but I didn't take nearly enough photos. (It's so hard to get more than one toddler in a photo at a time, they are like pinballs moving in all directions!)But I got some of the crowd herded into the wagon while Silas performed on his "drum" (the old diaper pail flipped upside down) Check out his moves!

The impromptu parties are some of the best, we have a lot of those when the weather is good because all the moms, dads and kiddos of the neighborhood cruise the sidewalks looking for something to do. I'm looking forward to the summer. We're hoping to have some good weather for next weekend when Silas turns 3 and we have a not so impromptu party planned (involving a big homemade cake and maybe a bean bag toss... )
